Privacy Policy

Wilf's Kitchen ("we", "us") is a meal prep business operating in Northamptonshire, UK. We are the data controller for the personal information described here. For anything privacy-related, contact us at info@wilfskitchen.com.

• Order details — your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and postcode, the meals you ordered, your chosen delivery or collection day, and how you're paying.
• Allergy and dietary notes — anything you tell us in the notes box when ordering. We treat this as sensitive information and use it only to prepare your food safely.
• Account details — if you create an account, we store your name, email, phone, saved delivery address and your order history. Passwords are stored as a one-way encrypted hash, so nobody (including us) can read them.
• Nothing else — we don't run advertising trackers, analytics profiling or third-party marketing pixels on this site.

• To fulfil your order (performance of a contract) — cooking, packing, delivery, collection, payment and order confirmations.
• To keep you safe (vital interests and your explicit consent when you tell us) — handling allergy and dietary requirements.
• To run our account system (performance of a contract) — logging you in, showing your order history, saving your address.
• To keep proper business records (legal obligation) — tax and accounting records of orders and payments.

We do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to. Every email we currently send relates to an order you placed or an account you created.

We never sell your data. We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site, and they only process your data on our instructions:

• Vercel — hosts this website.
• Neon — hosts the database where orders and accounts are stored.
• Resend — sends your order confirmation and account emails.
• Postcodes.io — when you type a postcode at checkout, it is looked up to work out your delivery fee. Only the postcode is sent; your name and address are not.

We may also share information where we're legally required to, for example with tax authorities or in response to a lawful request.

Order and payment records are kept for six years, as UK tax rules require. Account details are kept while your account is open — ask us to close it and we'll delete your account and personal details, keeping only the anonymised financial record we're obliged to.

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access a copy of your data, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and request it in a portable format. Email info@wilfskitchen.com and we'll respond within one month.

If you're not happy with how we've handled things, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
